Live Brief
WEEK 1: Digital Matte Painting
This week we got introduce to the module live brief. Our first live brief was to create a Digital Matte Painting, which will be a help for us in the future to create concepts and ideas.
This week we will focus on Matte Painting.

Things to consider
Complementary colors
They are pair of colors of opposite side of the color wheel. When you see them together, they will appear more vivid and create a strong contrast.

Color palette
When creating a picture or even a scene a color palette will help to create a mood, appear more appealing and also make it look better.

Week 4 - Wall-E - Live Action Reboot
This week we got introduced to a new life brief, which is a group project. It was between Rakel, Vivian and I. We assign the different task among us; Rakel did the matte painting in Photoshop/Procreate, Vivian did the 3D part in Maya and I did the compositing in After Effects. This group project was to create a live action reboot of the Pixar film Wall-e. The goal is to create a shot who matches the feel and colours in the beginning of the movie.
What we will submit:
-
Mood board (researched imagery)
-
Colour palette
-
Concept art
-
Breakdown of shot

These are the new changes we did since the last feedback we got:
-
I played around with the depth of view
-
Added star in the sky
-
Animated aurora borealis
-
Played around with the lights in the village and tried different expressions
-
Did some colour correction
-
Made the scene darker
-
Played with exponential glow, to make the scene more magical
-
Added the letter to the scene
Changes we would like to further:
-
Fix or play some more with the animated aurora borealis
-
Village light is to sharp (maybe add a blur or adjust the roto?)
-
Put in the rest of the letter animation
-
Add some snow particles
-
Star reflection in the lake?

Week 12 - Challenge Brief
For this project I want to create a relaxing universe/planet shot that will loop or a spaceship will passing by. First I tried to find some reference or inspiration for my project. My my first inspiration was to recreate something that could be a scene in Interstellar or Jupiter's ascending.
I am going to do compositing in Nuke
